No but they did equivalent functional movements that involved similar muscles and body usage.

How is something like that (along with some free weight usage) not going to prepare you to be effective in chasing down prey, striking for the kill, and dragging the carcass back to the cave?

    Some attempts were sorta successful.

    5/3/1 pullups, those are attempts
3 sets of back extensions (2.5/10/10 kg)
    6/6/6 dumbell rows (27/24.5/24.5)
    6/6/6 lunges (19/19/19)
    3/2/1 chinups, those are attempts

    ~30 minutes cardio.

Did humans evolve to eat bread, cereal, and pasta, Drake? Is that what our prehistoric ancestors ate?

Aww, you could have at least added "I aint trollin dawg" to your post

I'm not trolling. There's absolutely nothing wrong with carbs, so long as you consume the right kinds.

Good thread before the trolling started

I'm as skinny as fook but should be starting a program this week (would have started last week except the only gym in town was closed for refurbishment) as I'm working in Euroland with jacksheisse to do in the evenings, will go for a starting strength style workout. The diet's also pretty important, I've only just realised that dropping carbs is a gooood thing. I do love my chips (that's french fries to Americans) and taters. So, more meat and protein, more tasty vegetables and less white stuff. I think with my body size I need to eat like 3000 calories a day to make a difference though, and it's actually pretty hard to do that without the easy CHOs or coca cola to get me through. I can't just eat 400g of meat a day, that's not feasible in any way at all (especially cost- meat is soooo expensive here).

The workout I'll go for is probably on some page Alb has bookmarked somewhere. I worked out a few years ago but it wasn't the kind of workout that pushed me correctly- I had an intro with a trainer who had me tonnes of cardio first (wtf) then go around all of the weight machines. When really squats and similar are the way forwards, as I am realising.

Finally... no I'm not giving you pictures of me topless. Perverts.

Good job, Gwyneth Paltrow. Now you're cooking with Crisco.

Whatever. Go back to your smith machine and doing curls looking at the mirror. Got to have the OMG EPIC BICEPT PEEK! Got to hit the inner and outer biceps, man, with 15 different curls!
