What can you expect? The Giants are a great team while the Phillies are also rans. BTw the Phillies fans eat way to much cheese steak while Giants fans probably spend their days eating wine and tofu.

Huh? It was early season and the Phillies were World Series winners last season I think.

If I continue to use this thread I'll remove any stupidly large pictures, as they'll annoy me.

A post card of Cabrillo Bridge circula 1915. It shows Cabrillo Bridge (near Laural St), the California Tower (whose building hosts the Museum of Man) and the Old Global Theater which is a shameless ripe off of the one in London albeit done in a Spanish Rococo style.

Shut up. I'm trying to make fun of the Phillies and their fans. BTW the last World Series they won was in 2008 (before that 1980 and then never).

Their fans were all still wearing World Series merchandise on their humungous frames.

BTW I like to go to the Spreakles theater for silent movie night when they play the old pipe organ music to black and white silent films by Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. It's cool because they let you picnic with wine or beer and the cops leave you alone so you can spread a blanket out, eat your food, drink some wine, and watch a cool movie from just after WW1.

I always like seeing this on a flight into DC. It triggers the "yay, I'm home" feeling.

I like it too because this is inscribed inside it:

Fy iaith, fy ngwlad, fy nghenedl Cymru — Cymry am byth (My language, my land, my nation of Wales — Wales for ever).

I keep telling everyone that America is Welsh...
