    Quick 60-second test. It's a little annoying because when you get done the second line, it starts back at the top left but as long as you're aware of that, it shouldn't slow you down much. How fast can you type?

    I got 99 words per minute, 511 characters per minute, with all 99 words correct.

    How do you fare?

    Not that good. I'm a pretty solid 80+ wpm, but I can't be arsed to take a test every time this topic comes up.

          Typing is like making love. Quality is more important than speed. When I type I make love to my keyboard, I don't just bang away at it and finish as quickly as possible.

              fast typing was important in the 80's, now its only important for idiots weeding out idiots for minimum wage telemarketing jobs

                      It tells me I got 547 characters per minute but 98 words per minute with all 102 words correct. (I realize this doesn't compute)

                      Probably would be faster after my morning coffee and I wasn't all groggy.

                        An average word for typing purposes used to be 5 letters.

                          Just did it again now that I've woken up a bit. 100 wpm, 100 correct 2 errors (mostly related to reading errors...since the phrases are nonsense -- I put "family members" instead of "family number", for instance)
