Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
Exactly. You're favouring lamb deliciousness at the expense of, say, lamb fertility. Why should we prefer one method of increased wealth at the expense of the other?
Lion altruism with lambs is a pleasant fiction. At the end of the day, one is dead and one is sated.
That's just my own shortcoming. Why not give each lion the incentive to figure out for himself which works best? Leo goes for the fertile flock, and Simba goes for deliciousness. Somewhere along the way, one of Leo's rams trips and plunges into one one of Simba's ewes like a chocolate bar into a jar of peanut butter, and magic happens.
Well, let's say that the current ideas exempt certain weaker lions from controls. The strongest lions will then feast on the decidedly tastier meat of fellow meat-eaters (whose numbers and vulnerability have increased) while the losers will be the mediocre lions who cannot simultaneously comply with controls and hunt effectively.
One other aspect of this I haven't commented on is that without teeth, we will be forced to gum lambs to death. It seems an altogether more painful way to die.
I think you all are forgetting the purpose of a metaphor...
"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi
"I have nothing against Wilson, but he's nowhere near the same calibre of QB as Flutie. Flutie threw for 5k+ yards in the CFL." -Ben Kenobi

What would that be? According to what I was taught, it's the purveyance of one idea by equating it with an analogous one. I believe this fits that definition.
But to what purpose, KH? This is the first time I've seen anyone extrapolate a metaphor like this and turn it into an esoteric discussion without much clear correspondence to anything real (you're just adding metaphors onto metaphors... filing down teeth mean what exactly?)

What if the lions lays down with the lamb? Then we'll have lion-lamb hybrids!
“As a lifelong member of the Columbia Business School community, I adhere to the principles of truth, integrity, and respect. I will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do.”
"Capitalism ho!"
Wow. A thread made up entirely of Drake and KH having a discussion... this makes for some brilliant insights!
On one level. On another level it's KH falling into his whole redundant can't finish a thought blabbering to himself discussion.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
"Hating America is something best left to Mobius. He is an expert Yank hater.
He also hates Texans and Australians, he does diversify." ~ Braindead
I have NO IDEA what any of you are jabbering on about.
It's biblical.
The lamb is Ghonnamora and the lion is Sodom.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "
