Obviously you don't understand basketball. There is no way to know that there will be a next score in basketball.

You know your argument is retarded because you can make the same argument for any other sport where there is some action (skating back and forth for example) that does not lead directly to game winning goal/score.

Yeah, I'm sure it happens all the time in the professional leagues that there's no scoring in the last 5 minutes of a basketball game.

What is there to not understand about basketball? It's one of the simplest sports imaginable, only bogged down by technicalities pertaining to fouling, etc.

      • Wow, the Aussies just got well and truly barbequed by the Krauts...!
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?

        • I'm sure they'll be alright. The Aussies, much like America and Canada, are smart enough not to care about soccer.

          • Funny how though the sport is British in origin, many of Britain's former colonies have no interest in it (How much do Pakistanis, Indians, and Jamaicans care about soccer?)

            • I watched until 2:0.

I doubt that I will be able to stand watching a full game of this WC because of the extremely annoying noise they make with these horns. This constant monotonous buzz is driving me crazy.

              • Some poor examples from Laz, really. He's obviously Drake's DL. That Pele one where he phucks up and fail to score was particularly embarrasing.

Here's Samir Nasri this year - for Arsenal v Porto. I was at the game.

Unfortunately the retarded French coach didn't take Nasri to the World Cup, hence the dreadful dirge his team produced against Uruguay.

Another game I was at this season. Cesc Fabregas v Tottenham. We may see Cesc produce some magic for Spain. Clip best viewed from 17s.

From a few years ago - Dennis Bergkamp v Newcastle (Agathon's team)

I watched your videos. Please go back and watch the ones (or at least a bit of) that I posted from football and basketball and that Asher posted from hockey. No way in hell can anyone possibly say that those soccer plays you showed involved comparable feats of athleticism. No way. I think you English are simply mis-informed and haven't witnessed enough of football, basketball, and hockey to make these judgments. I watched your best clips. Watch ours and tell the truth. Your delusional if you think those goals involved the same level of talent as a wide receiver throwing himself into the air to catch a ball 10 feet up while being hit by two defenders... or a basketball player leaping from the free throw line into a dunk on a defender.

                      • Robin van Persie, who will be appearing for Holland at the WC, demonstrates how to finish off a tasty move with some classy volleying technique. (Arsenal v Charlton)

Thierry Henry, from the days when he did more than enrage the Irish...

Or scoring a goal from an impossible angle while on your ****ing back, sliding along the ice at a high rate of speed towards the goal...while surrounded by defenders.

                          • Athleticism <> Skill

This is the peak of athleticism.

I'm very impressed with your collection of high-jumping hooplas. They have superb athleticism. I'm just not very interested.

What I posted are examples of why millions love football. I didn't start a thread called 'Basketball sucks', and I'm not expecting you to like football when you're more interested in who can jump the highest. Enjoy your sports .

Where did I say that I wasn't impressed with the ability of ice-hockey players? I like watching a bit of ice hockey. It's closer to football than most sports.
