I think every sport has more impressive tricks and scores than soccer.

Basketball is the best team sport. It has the best balance of pace, teamwork, skill, show, etc. It is also fun to play and watch if you understand the sport.

Of course as with every sport there are poor/boring games and great, spectacular, thrilling games. (although I am not sure about baseball/cricket)

Basketball sucks because 90% of the game is pointless. It's inane back and forth with constant murmur from the crowds.

It's basically a bunch of wasted time until the last 5 minutes, when it actually matters. Add in the ridiculous fouls, and it's painful.

They're not pointless, because you don't know if another goal will be scored. The constant and expected scoring in basketball is what makes it boring, just like the constant lack of scoring in football/soccer makes it boring.

Hockey is great because it sits happily between the two extremes.
