Student protests gone out of control in Ljubljana, Slovenia from pengovsky on Vimeo.

Anyway, a somewhat bizarre protest, don't you think?

The students were protesting because the state is planing to regulate
student labour market... limit the number of hours they're permitted to work
    or some such.

"Let us work our asses off while we study!"

Good for Hera. Why is the government being a nanny state here?

I beg to differ. Slovenia is a typical euro-pinko-commie nanny state in
which education and almost everything that goes with it is free. If they
need the money it's probably for drugs or purchasing communist books on
        Amazon

Slovenian youth are apparently much brighter than French youth.

            Actually, that is the problem.

My understanding is that, because education is essentially free and there are a lot of advantages to student-status, there are a lot of "fake" students with not that much interest in studying but a lot of interest in the side-advantages (like student jobs).

The kids protesting where rabble. Many of them freely admited to coming to the protest to get drunk and trash stuf.

Yougn people everywhere where so high on groupthink. The law is mostly good, but the student organisations can't part with their incomes. Thankfully the protest backfired. The campaign run by the students organization was the most annoying and omnipresent one I've seen them pull off. Also saw lots of anarchist graffiti supporting the protests all over the city, wouldn't be suprised if a few of those dweebs showed up too.

                Edit:
+1 to what Lul Thyme and Vetlegion said.

One can never have enough drugs and communist books, if only to sell them to students and become rich that way

Is this about the Slovakia gay pride parade interrupted by skinheads?

Turns out Slovakia is a different country from this 'Slovenia'.

                        Slovkia should sue Slovenia.
