Sure. He designed Waffen-SS unform to be exact, iirc. And it's the scariest uniform ever.

I'm curious so I started to google Russian military parade images... how many branches/uniforms does the Russian military have? I see so many styles.

Speaking of BDU's, I'm a little puzzled by why the Army unit shown in that article are wearing BDU's. It's hard to tell but it looks digital not like the old discontinued BDUs the Army used to have, like MARPATs even. Anyone know why they're not wearing dress or service or even ACUs?

Like I said it's hard to tell but the Army soldiers in that image weren't wearing the same pattern (plus I'm pretty sure green BDU's were worn with black boots, not deserts). It looked digitized. More like green ACU's but I have never seen ACU's in any color but grey. Are there green ACU's now? Anyone know what the soldiers are wearing?


As a cool aside, the 170th Infantry Brigade in the parade was the unit sent after WW1 to Arkhangelsk as part of an Allied intervention in the Russian revolution.

It's trooping the colour, not the parade. And the uniform of the Kremlin regiment is quite exotic (sorta historical), not the ordinary dress uniform of the rest of the Russian army, of course.
