For those of us in the CW it will be interesting to see how a hung Parliament will be managed.

I can imagine some heads exploding if the Palace is making any decisions.

      American or Canadian Thanksgiving?

On the upside my Scottish relatives seemed to thoroughly enough the idea of a Thanksgiving holiday especially since all the American and Canadian relatives did all the cooking.

Any chance of Greens getting in on a coalition? Probably not, I suppose.
if it turns out like this, then it's hard to see anything other than a minority tory government (presumably in alliance with the UUP and maybe the DUP, and also on relying some limited co-operation with the liberals) and another election within a year.

The British election analysis and polling is so bad. Everything depends on districts but it looks like they have no district based polling. Either in opinion polls or exit polls. They keep talking about the overall swing based on national polls, but that is just so useless when everything breaks down differently for each constituency.

You'd think they could identify the 100-200 most contested seats and do specific polling in those before the election to give a much better picture of what is happening. We do that here, why is the UK so far behind on polling?

Because it changes every election due to most seats getting new boundaries. Can't poll in particular seats either, because with more than 2 parties don't know which seats are important.

The BBC knows which seats are being watched the closest. They have them up on their map. Seats that went one way narrowly last time. Doesn't seem that hard.

Also, was anyone watching Gordon Brown's victory speech? What's up with that guy standing behind him?

i liked the name of his party, "land is power"

where did all the liberal votes go? it's all a bit strange, polls put the liberals consisantly in the high 20s, but they've got about 22% of the vote (same as 2005) and they're on course to lose seats. were people just having a laugh when they said they'd vote liberal?

They went to Labour, to keep the tories out.

if that's people's strategy, then it's a very badly thought out one...

it looks like people simply haven't voted for them, in anything like the numbers they said they would. in the north or the south.
