Hell I've been on here for years and I don't think there is anyone on here that I consider a friend. There are people on here where I like their online persona and there are people where I respect their online persona (two distinct sets with some intersection) but I cannot think of anyone on here that I would consider a friend. Perhaps I have a different idea of what friendship means ( and I know some of you are known to each other in real life so its different) but I think of friends and people I rely on and confide in etc etc. Perhaps online the test should be much lower??

This is along the same lines of what I thought about posting. I don't think I have anyone on here who are really my friends. I have people on here who I like to interact with and such, but that's similar to real life - I know LOTS of acquintances in real life I'm friendly with whom I run into everyday, and small talk with them, but they're not friends.

I hope BK is not confusing friendly acquintances with friends.
