Wow. Ok.If what Ben said was true, no one would ever get insurance.
1. If you want elective surgery, insurance is the way to go.
2. Quality. If you want a particular doctor, insurance is the way to go.
3. Risk allocation, If you want to spread your potential costs out, you get insurance.
