I thought heterosexism might work, but heterosexism and hatred of gay people are not always the same, or go hand-in-hand. One can sometimes be heterosexist without necessarily opposing equal rights for gays, or hating gay people. I think of heterosexism as simply always behaving and interacting with others with the absolute presumption that everyone is straight, until a person says otherwise. Their entire worldview is on the presumption that everything is based on heterosexuality.

So when talking about those who really do hate gay people, if homophobia is not an appropriate word, what word should we use?
Google/wiki the greek root for "hate," which I either never heard of or can't remember, and swap it in for "phobos." There you go.

Yeah, right. You won that war by seating on your precious arses up to 1944, while we were busy crushing all those Hitler's divisions. F*ck, man, don't start this sh!t again.

You did just claim to be part of the Greek group who assisted in the massacre at Srebrenica, right? That's what they were.
Did I really need to put an ironic smile after my post? I hope you do realize neither me or Paik weren't involved in Serbenica.

The whole point of this thread has to do with Fun being an Issue flame warrior and threads dealing with teh gayz is his schtick. Honestly I never thought of you and was making a Greek joke.
          Ok, if you say so.

They invaded North Africa in 1942 which wouldn't be sitting on their asses and they invaded Italy in 1943 plus they made up by far the largest bomber force of the war. The battle of the Atlantic also sucked up a lot of German resources.

You think I don't know about the American input?
But still it's a sideshow compared to the bloodbath of the Eastern front. Where the real winner of the WW2 has been defined.
And with all respect to American veterans to say that USA has won WW2 (like DD did) is an insult wrt to residents of the country whose millions of soldiers died on battlefields of WW2 while crushing the Hitler's war machine.

Right - I'm sure those American veterans who fought and gave it their all in Italy or north Africa would not offended by your "just a sideshow" remark, Serb.

I din't meant to offend them. American and British veterans who fought at Italy and North Africa did a great deal by fighting nazis. But with all respet that weren't decisive battles of WW2 and that weren't the theaters of war where the majority of Hitler's forces have been crushed. So how DD's claim "
The Americans won WWII", based upon a simple and undenieble fact that America participated in WW2 can be true is beyond me.
Participated in war =/ won the war.

Oh, I disagree with DD's overly simplistic, and patriotically chauvanistic statement too. I just wanted to make sure you don't go to the other extreme.
