more troubling for the mid to long term is that it seems the government in Haiti has ceased to function effectively as its physical presence crumbled. Hopefuly it can recover somewhat soon, because, with the additional damage to the international mission in Haiti, civil chaos could complicate what will already be a severely difficult humanitarian effort.
