I had one recruiter a couple weeks ago give me the third degree, when I turned down an interview for a supervisor position (off shift). He basically told me that if I'd be luckier than hell if I landed a manager position in this economy, and that me thinking I would get one is testimony to how narrow-minded I am, and that I needed to "pay my dues".

I told him "10 years as an engineer, 2 of which were spent on 12 hour graves, and a couple of bad managers is what sent me to get my MBA. There's no way in hell I'm settling for some sheitass job, answering to another know-it-all dipsheit, who will steal credit for anything I'm going to do because some meat peddler thinks I won't get what I want. I've gotten to where I am now despite everyone telling me it's pointless and that it won't happen, guess what grumpy old due; it does happen."

He's now got me a phone interview with for a project manager position I like I asked him to find me.

Anyway, I'm really in no hurry to find another job. Though i think the boredom next year will force me to. My dad is happy, and that matters to me. He's just happy that he can brag that his son has an MBA now. He has several friends who kids dropped out of a program or stopped trying to get into one after 1 rejection letter.
