You'd be better off signing up for a MMORPG. At least then you get pretty graphics and sound to accompany your fictional exploits.

D&D consumes to much time once you get into it, it's geeky as all hell, will cost you money you don't have, friends you don't have, and your social life will consist of LARPing and picking on 10 year olds. Personally, I find the game fun, but it is also a trap ala "one more turn". Only, in this trap, you turn into something worse than those Fantasy Football clowns as it will consume your entire being.

You want a hobby? Start a business, volunteer at a charity, or start a small satanic cult. Anything but D&D.

            True, but not human interaction.

Volunteering at a charity isn't a hobby; it's counterproductive. What the hell does volunteering for charity do for me, benefit-wise?

                It's fun, but it's no ***** magnet.

I've met connections via volunteering that have helped me professionally. And it looks good on resumes to many potential employers.

chicks at charities figure your sensitive and caring and dig that sort of thing. Chicks at D&D games... wait, sorry, I never heard of that.

Sure there is. You're playing against other people online. And there is the added bonus that you don't have to actually see what they look like, which is probably hideous.

Good point re: connections at charities. The problem is, I can't psychologically bring myself to help others for free. Maybe if I look at it as sex potential, I can get over the hump. Good call

As for what employers like, **** it. I'm fine in my job, it's not going anywhere.
