    D&D Advice

    So, the other day I was having a beer w/ a coworker and I mentioned to him I needed a hobby besides drinking and trying to pick up women.

    He invited me to join him and his D&D buddies for a game on Sunday afternoon, which they have every week. I decided what the hell, but I've never played D&D before other than in PC games where D&D rules have been adapted (Baldur's Gate for example).

    What should I expect, and any advice?

    Yes: don't play it.

        My advice is you shouldn't play D&D.

            Drinking and picking up women is far more fun than just trying.

            Give that a whirl before you resort to D&D.

                        Drinking and picking up women is far more fun than just trying.
                        That's what I meant; if I phrased it that way, people would just tell me I was bragging.

                        In any case, why is everyone saying not to play? I mean, how bad can it be?

                              Yes, but I don't see this impacting it. Hell, I'll make you a deal: The next girl it seems likely that I'll hook up with, I'll casually mention to her that I play D&D, and report back the consequences. Since she'll be too drunk to care, there won't be any
