If free MMO's have taught me anything, its that evil Finns shout "ANNA JOTAIN!!!1".

Good luck Pekka. Onward to victory!
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Have the docs said anything about how long you have had it ? It could explain some postings

Hope they can crack your skull in a decent manner and remove it - best wishes for a quick recovery.
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Wow. Best of luck to you. I wish you a very successful surgery. You're the master of Nasty Boys and the Banana Split - no tumor stands a chance against that

gl Pekka, I know we can afford to be more optimistic than you but the advances in medicine should give us all hope.

                Amen to that!

If only it was in the buttocks, not the brain. Might even have been slightly cool, not least as a conversational subject. You're sure they didn't say buttocks?

Get well soon, Pekka. That so-called tumor doesn't know who it's messing with here.

As long as they do not find cancer, you will fine. A sore head for awhile.

My wife had 2 in her life. One when our twins were born 38 years ago, and one in 2001. No cancer either time.

                      Good luck

Joseph, that's always good news. The diagnosis so far would be the same for me as well, so the question would be how successful the operation is. Meaning that they don't accidentally screw up my brain in the operation. Naturally there are always dangers involved in such things.

However, it could be a lot worse. I am hopeful. THe signs are pretty OK, I mean they let me go already, to home, wait for the operation. There's no need for anything else anymore, since I feel OK, apart mental anxiety. They say it's good, and it's not an emergency but should be operated soon because it is still operable. I guess I'm lucky for modern medicine, eh? It might turn out, that this is only a few week stay in the hospital, or even less, and nothing except a sore head for a while. This is the best scenario and the one I'm aiming for.

They'll do this thing, this motion capture thing, where I have to move and stuff and they'll take images from my brain to see where NOT TO CUT I hope I get to wear the gimp suit for it, but I doubt it.

It seems interesting to me how some people come for your support and some people make a big deal of themselves about supporting you but actually what they do is give a speech and the run away. It's OK. It must be kind of scary for others as well. I'm a rational person. I'll take my chances, and my chances are pretty good. Of course I'm scared. I'm scared beyond being scared. But at the same time I'm mellowing down a lot. Just have to take every day as a gift.

I'm so glad I'm now in Finland. You know, my medicine is actually free? I only pay a small percentage of it, but it is fully reimbursed. The operation and everything that has to do with it? Free. I have to pay for my hospital bed, 30 euros per day, but that's it. And I am convinced the people in charge there were professionals as I got to talk to them. It seems to me that they're doing everythign they can when it's someone who is fairly young and it is doable. In this sense, I'm lucky. Now, they don't look to save so much money as they would in many other cases. And at the end of the day, it won't cost my anything at all almost. And I get to be operated pretty fast as well. That's good.
