Is it a stereotype to say that my roommate acted ghetto when he was from Detroit, the ghetto, low income family, father in jail, mother a drug user, and brother killed by gang violence? I wouldn't call it a stereotype, I would call that someone's life.

Is it stereotypical to state fact that several soldiers I knew and worked with, and trusted I might add, were known felons for various things? Hell, I had an NCO who almost went to jail for attempted murder, he got off and still managed to get into the Army. Go figure that one.

Racist would be me stating every black or every hispanic was lazy and such. I just told you first hand what happened with me. Don't like it then fu.ck you, thats how it was for me.

And again, I shouldn't have to even say it, if I am a racist then I must hate my wife and son....Hispanic wife, half white half Hispanic son.....so am I really a racist if I spend my holidays with a family that doesn't speak English? Live and breathe Spanish every day? Really racist? Come now, give me your experiences...show me how racist you fu.ckers are.

Isn't that about right? So if that is the case I should be able to dictate to KH how he conducts himself on his job? Or that I know more about religion and god than Ben even with me being an agnostic-atheist? Is that what your saying? I should dictate how programmers code this site with my 0 experience with programming...but I have seen webpages before so I must know more than them.

As Solomwi said, current military experience can give insight into the current situation of attitudes toward gays but it's not relevant with respect to the larger questions of DADT and whether gays could or should openly serve in the military.
