a) I don't watch it

Understandable-- I only watch it on airplanes when either the flight is too short for a movie and/or I have seen everything else. Its mildly amusing at times but since the main characters are all physics doctorates (except for one guy who only has a masters in engineering and subject to derision due to this fact due to ad=cademic pomposity ), I thought it might resonate. The show is fairly stereotypical/formulaic but kills the time when I am half asleep on a plane

b) Graduate school has been one long, slow decline in my motivation to continue doing physics. I think there are far too many physicists, and an

hmmm-- I had never thought about there being an oversupply but I can see how doing the same type of thing for long periods can get old. I have changed jobs a few times in my 15 year career and each time the type of work was different enough that it wasn't just the "same sh*t" in a different group.

I corrected the interviewer on an answer he gave. My original answer was wrong, but so was his when he corrected me. Stunned silence, then "You're right. Very impressive".
