Remember the op-ed pieces several months back about the resurrection of the Cold War. With Obama, it hasn't happened. The Committe cited his success in lessening East-West tensions.

Remember when a certain U.S. President named, Iraq, Iran and North Korea as being part of a [mythological] Axis of Evil, and then invaded Iraq, motivating Iran and North Korea to rush to build nuclear weapons? With Obama emphasis on negotiation over saber-rattling, Iran has now agreed to permit inspections, and North Korea has agreed to return to the negotiating table.

One of the areas now included in the Peace Prize is fighting climate change. Obama has inlcuded funds in his stimulous package to rebuild America, funds for developing renewable energy sources. Quite a change from the "drill, baby, drill" mentality of the last administration.

And there's the redeployment of troops out of Iraq (which the Repubs predicted would lead to the downfall of Iraq)

There's the returning of the role of world cop to the concensus of the U.N., rather than in the capricious whims of a single Texan.

Reining in the bull-in-the-china-shop recklessness of the world's largest military power and replacing its saber-rattling with a calm, reasoned and respectful dipomacy should count for something.

It is obvious that Obama has done nothing to deserve this. There is not a single actual accomplishment that can be pointed to that is even close to deserving of this and Obam is smart enough to notice this. This is just another case of the diefication of Obama, and any one on the left with any brains is face palming right now because of how stupid and obviously problematic this endorcement is.

I have no problem seeing Obama siting in bed after Gibbs wakes him up saying "Like I don't have enough problems? What a bunch of ****ing *******s!"

The Nobel committee(s) have really been sticking it to the American right. Krugman's award was not undeserved, but it seems fairly obvious that his incessant public criticism of Bush was a major factor in the decision to give it to him last year. Obama's award is blatant politics, without even a reasonable veneer of substantive justification.

Are you saying that the Cold War between us and Russian has returned? If not, what happened to it?
Are you saying that the North Koreans are refusing to negotiate nuclear weapons?
Are you saying that a nuclear-armed Iran, worried about U.S. attempts to establish permanent bases in Iraq is posed to invade?
Are you saying that the U.S. energy policy remains import oil from our Muslim buddies in the Middle East?

If not, why not? Who put an end to these nightmare scenarios?

Hmm the North Koreans have negotiated many time over the last decade and made a fool of us each time. I think anyone that believes they're serious this time is highly delusional.
The same could be said about Iran.
Let's see actual results before Obama gets the credit.

And let's remember, the nominations closed out less than two weeks after Obama took office so the nomination had to be based on wishfull thinking because even you have to admit that Obama didn't really accomplish anything in his first two weeks that would justify this.

And reading your justification sounds like the right isn't the only idiots who claim Obama is a deity.
