:sigh: Kids today. There is no hope.

    Try this:

    Or this

Music, like any other art, is supposed to disturb the status quo. The garbage on MTV/commercial radio doesn't disturb anyone. It is neither art nor music. It is simply money making wank fodder for corporate executives and the brainless gits who like wanking to pablum.

I disagree... It's classic DJ Premier. A refined version of the early 1990's East Coast jazzy and scratch-centric aesthetic (which the fugees songs coincidentally represent pretty well). And since when is battle rapping everything? And since when does Chris Brown get DJ Premier production? You are referring to It's All Real, right? Not Good Times?

I know you'd disagree but that beat is like the perfect beat. DJ Premier is the ****.

They had so much hype around them at around 2003-2004. They were a bit overshadowed by TI and Kanye West who emerged during that time but "Its all Real" got A LOT of rotation. I will never forget that DJ Premier beat.
