    Well done.
But I would still like to know how many times they tried.
Out of 100, 2 wouldn't seem so bad, but I doubt they tried that many times.
So would you agree the GOP should be outlawed based on two instances of vote fraud?

All that link proves is that the right wing hate campaign did enough of a hatchet job on ACORN that the Census Bureau didn't want the headache any more. That doesn't make ACORN wrong about anything and it doesn't make the wing nuts any less retarded.

They are the subject of investigations in multiple states. Do you really think its only two people?

Anyway, this affair seems to have had one good effect: Census Bureau Severs Ties With ACORN

Damn, this didn't last? Well, so long as two people got it and one didn't, I guess I'm shooting par.

Based on my voting record over a lifetime, sadly yes I'm a republican.
Besides I get funnier junk mail because of it. All those thinly disguised donation requests that look like surveys are hilarious. Obama's socialistic programs will turn the US into another Nazi Germany. (unless you fill out this survey and send us 1,000 dollars)
The ones that have been posted here are lightweights compared to the some that I've received in the last few weeks.

And I just joined my first fantasy type football league (salary cap) so I don't think I'm quite ready for a hockey fantasy team yet.

You don't fool me, you're not a real republican.

By the way, prove you're not a republican by joining the auction NHL fantasy league.

Hmm I'm a republican and I do think when they're outed it does reflect poorly on the party as a whole, so I don't see a double standard here.

What we've seen could be just the tip of the iceberg. It's damaging to their reputation and I think it is a flaw in the organization. Just saying since they're low-income you expect them to be breaking the law is not acceptable.
It's not acceptable, no, but it's not really their problem. These people got caught, they're fired, lesson learned, move on.

Why is it that Republicans are quick to peg the flaws of these people on ACORN, but when Republicans are outed as gay-hating closeted homosexuals or pedophiles it doesn't reflect on the party as a whole?

No, if you could identify systematic voter fraud I'd be all for closing them down.

The fact is ACORN is an organization that, by its nature, needs to hire a lot of low-income people to work for them. A lot of these people will do things independently that will not reflect well on the organization, but it's not a flaw in the organization and its purpose.

I think the purposes and the overall benefit of ACORN outweigh the bad. It's very important all swaths of society vote, and the low-income urban population needs to vote more. Obviously Republicans don't agree, and thus the hit-job attempts.

If you want to go after the organization, you need to do that. Going after a couple idiots out of the many, many people who work for them is not even close to being sufficient. There's always bad apples.

It's absolutely pathetic how hard some people here (cough, Mad Monk, cough) are trying to take them down. Pretending like they are funded with "billions" of tax-payer dollars, for instance.

Yes, but if I went for advice at a place like ACORN that's exactly the kind of advice I'd expect.

You expect them to be geniuses?
