I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Yep, it's about as stupid as I thought. If this rash of spectacular dingbattery in the halls of power turns out to be a prelude to the collapse of U.S. Government, is anyone else on here from MD's Eastern Shore, and interested in forming a commune for mutual support and defense against the roving bands of marauders?

Are you confusing Kristol with Buckley?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.â€

I saw an outline of Obama's speech compared to the themes in BUsh I and Reagans school speeches. They seemed similar in terms of the amount of school and other political contentYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo

This is not really worthy of any serious discussion.
And for the record, any speech by a politician is political by definition. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

This would not be a problem if Obama could just refrain from using language that constitutes personal servatude. In this case I don't think he really meant to come off that way, but since it happens to coincide with that absolutely retarded Hollywood "I pledge" video nobody can be surprised that people made a natural connection."The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.

So you hated JFK's speech of servitude, "ask not what your country can do for you . . ." speech, Patty?
The difference may be lost on you, but for someone in the profession I am in it makes a hell of a lot of difference."The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.

I don't see Obama's speech as coming across being personal servitude. Are you one of those whackos who equate Obama with being Hitler-like in pursuit of more personal power?A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Let us review what I wrote:

I have no doubt that Obama genuienly believes that each of his personal opinions are the correct course of action to help America, and when he asked for people to help him he just meant help America. He has to remember who and why he is talking to certain people. If he had simply said "help America" as opposed to "help the president" then that would allow any school children who don't agree with his personal goals to still walk away with an inspiring message, ie pursing and being involved with helping America in their own fashion as opposed to Obama's."The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. No one saw the speech prior to the backlash so we dont know how far it was going to push the envelope. We do know, however, that the planned and now dropped 'lesson plans' were viewed by many people as being too partisan for the audience.
Wouldnt it be nice if just one politician would actually say "sorry we ****ed up, we didnt think it would be taken that way" instead of vomiting forth the usual nauseating spin.We need seperate human-only games for MP/PBEM that dont include the over-simplifications required to have a good AI
