We had the debate about Sharon Keller's actions.

If you say life, then you are wasting my tax money (and yours, if you pay it) to maintain a useless husk of a human who will never contribute anything to society.
I don't have any problem with death as a penalty in theory. It's the inperfect system that decides who lives and dies that makes it a no-go. Sufficient safeguards cannot be put in place to prevent the possibility of an innocent person being executed. Better 10,000 guilty men should live out their lives in prison than one innocent man should be executed.

Well, I can't say that I can remember that thread, but why complain over a reminder of how efficient texan legal system is ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

I would caution you about coming to live in Texas, if you are unable to control your big mouth, Che. I'm serious.

Suck me, Imran. No one rattled your cage. To address your point, I didn't say a damned thing about his being a communist. I said his big mouth. He constantly runs his mouth. He can do that in fromt of a monitor, but I'm trying to be a nice guy and tell him to watch his mouth if he's here. Personally, I don't care if someone steals his bicycle again.

Better than having it cut out, at least from his perspective.

If we keep that estimated time short, it costs more to put him on death row. If we make that time long, then death is the bargain.
They don't make "estimates." They compare costs. It costs something on the order of 2.3 million dollars to put someone to death, after all the legal costs from all the appeals, etc., is figured in. The cost to keep someone in prison for life is less.

Aww, your widdle feelings hurt, Slowwy? Maybe you should stop being such a pompous ass and trying to be such a damn know it all when you're nearly as inaccurate as BenK. And maybe you shouldn't be such a damn hypocrite.

And I can defend myself, Slowwy.

Better to execute an innocent man than let a guilty one go free.
