Not necessarily just the quick bang-and-run type, but in general. Who cares? I don't care about your sex life. You don't care about mine. I've never quite understood the point of bragging (or being ashamed, for that matter).

Again, you're in a thread about the number of people everyone has slept with. Even stating it matter of factly is going to sound like bragging, if the number is over x, with x being the number that "people" feel is socially acceptable. Also, if you don't care, why open the thread?

This anecdote about your friend is so true. I was a pretty handsome fella as a young man, and it certainly helped to get women interested at first, but it wasn't until I developed some additional strategies that had nothing to do with looks that I was regularly bedding them. I actually believe that if I had been less good looking I would have developed those strategies earlier and been more successful overall.

I must say I never saw the need for strategies with women. I simply found that if you actually felt confident, things worked out pretty well. So many guys just seemed too eagar, too desparate.

I count anything involving full nude body contact/physical intimacy where one or both get off.

And then I think there's basically three types of sexual partners:

1) hookups/tricks - one time experience

2) **** buddies - get together periodically but no emotional ties to one another

3) boyfriend/partner/lover/spouse - emotional commitment to one another where the sex is only one part of the relationship

That, or the person is a complete dunce in being upfront with other person about what he wants and what he does not want.
