SHUT THE FUCK UP ABOUT THIS BORING CRAP! Can we please get back to trolling Russians or debating the likelihood that America's collective fatass will collapse into a black hole or something?

Back to the original point of the thread (is "point" too strong a word?) decadence seems to be the best answer, but it is also a general catch-all to describe any number of reasons that can lead to a nation/empire's decline.
