Yuengling and a Primanti cheese steak

    Other than that

Took me 40 minutes to find a place that would sell me a case of beer. It was hidden an alley... Government ran distributors Beer should be required to be sold anywhere you buy gas.

I thought Utah was the only place that the government ran alcohol sales.

Connecticut was the same way. We spent an hour looking for an alcohol store only to discover that what we thought was a post office was the liquor store, or as they call 'em "Package Store".

Colorado only sells 3.2 beer in grocery. You have to go to liquor stores for the real stuff.

Even we have privatised liquor sales up here.

America needs to get with the times.

New Hampshire hard liquor sales are all via govt. liquor stores, too. No sales tax.

Overall, there are 18 US states that are considered "government controlled" re alcohol sales. As of 2005 they were:

          1. Alabama (Liquor stores are state-run or on-premise establishments with a special off-premise license.)[2]
          2. Idaho (Maintains a monopoly over sales above greater than 16% ABV.)
          3. Iowa (Does not operate retail outlets; maintains a monopoly over wholesaling of beverages greater than 6% ABV.)
          4. Maine (State-contracted to private businesses for commission)
          5. Michigan (Does not operate retail outlets; maintains a monopoly over wholesaling of distilled spirits only.)
          6. Mississippi (State-contracted liquor stores)
          7. Montana (State-contracted liquor stores, modeled after the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission)[3]
          8. New Hampshire (Beer and wine can be sold at supermarkets & convenience stores; spirits and liqueurs are sold only in state-run liquor stores.)
          9. North Carolina (Beer and wine can be sold in supermarkets and convenience stores; other spirits must be sold in state-run liquor stores.)
          10. Ohio (Licenses businesses to run liquor stores for a commission. Beverages under 21% ABV may be sold in supermarkets)
          11. Oregon (Beer and wine can be sold in supermarkets and convenience stores; other spirits must be sold in state-run liquor stores.)
          12. Pennsylvania (All liquor stores are run by the state; recently opened state-run retail outlets inside some supermarkets, currently 19 supermarkets have this.)[4]
          13. Utah (all beverages over 3.2% ABW(4.0% ABV) are sold in state-run stores Utah code 5(a)(i))[5]
          14. Vermont (Liquor stores are state-contracted and licensed)
          15. Virginia (Beer and wine ≤14% ABV sold at supermarkets and convenience stores; all liquor stores are run by the state)
          16. Washington (Beer and wine sold at supermarkets, gas stations, department stores, etc.; spirits and liqueurs are sold only in state-run or state-contracted liquor stores.)
          17. West Virginia (Does not operate retail outlets; maintains a monopoly over wholesaling of distilled spirits only.)
          18. Wyoming (State-contracted stores)

Additionally, Montgomery County, Maryland is a control county, and some cities in Minnesota (notably Edina) control sales.

About one-quarter of the United States population lives in control or monopoly states.

Pittsburgh's road network is pretty ridiculous.
