If I am bitter for anything, it's the fact I have had various degrees of diarreah every single day since March last year and having had nausea and even worse almost every day for nearly as long, and the doctors can't figure out what's wrong.

Bitterness surges every now and then here, because I need to find a job, and I'm having trouble finding one. I mean something a job that suits me and that I can at least apply for. Well, that and procrastination are holding me down. And that persistent laziness seems to be a trait I've had since early childhood, bah

Wow, that sucks. Either you're continually eating something contaminated or there is something wrong with your digestive track. Are you sure you aren't eating something which you are allergic too? Why not get allergy tests just to be sure? Also try eating some live (non-pasturized) yogurt as maybe some how the beneficial bacteria in your gut were killed off and now some nonbenificial bacteria have taken hold.

Disease wise I have never heard of something which lasts as long as you describe but maybe you were exposed to Giardia or something which has gone untreated.

I've been checked for all kinds of allergies, I've taken both a gastroscopy and a colonoscopy, various blood tests and excrement tests, I've tried all kinds of medicines, including one who changed my whole bacteria flora in the stomach. During Christmas no less, I wasn't able to have any alcohol from the week before Christmas to the week thereafter because of it. We had a giardia outbreak in the city I live in a few years ago, one of the worst in Europe for a long time actually, but I only got these symptoms a year ago, some two years after the outbreak IIRC. I have no idea, the doctors doesn't either it seems. Which makes my imagination go wild at times when it is at it worst. The only good thing: From March last year to July the vomiting was multiple times daily. From then it has slowly gone to "only" daily to several times a week to more and more rarely. But the nausea still is there all too often...

Have you been tested for celiac disease? This is allergy to glutens and usually shows up in one's 20s although it can show symptoms at anytime. There is a simple blood test these days. If you have it, no more wheat, barley, or rye and the syptoms will go away. I would think I would be damn bitter after a whole year of that hassle.

My thought as well. Very likely you have an allergy to gluten.

I'm bitter. I just fell victim to RTFM, so I feel like an idiot. I got a C on 20% of my course grade because I neglected to read the syllabus before turning in an assignment.
