That means 12 wasted seconds to leave a combat zone. 12 seconds at best, 'cause something tells me that the actual take-off (not just converting for horizontal flight while you are already in air and at needed altitude) would be a more complicated and time-consuming action than a take-off of a classic chopper.
And if we suppose that all this time there are enemies nearby, then who the hell needs that?
