      Didn't say I was surprised.

Anyway, this thread is officially getting off track, so...

If the US government is going to require all taxpayers to pay for the healthcare of everyone else... and if people's health is damaged by alcohol, soda, or fatty foods, then I think this is a good decision because the people who are more likely to get sick should have to pay for their own future care.

Then again, I am against socialized health care and I think people should be able to choose to eat whatever they want.

But if socialized health care must exist, then this is certainly an appropriate way to pay for it!

This is what big government requires- a nanny method to keep everyone equal and to keep things fair.

This isn't clear at all. Moderate alcohol consumption may improve health.

Well damn, I guess I should talk to the management about that. I personally think they like yanking our chain these days. I would be.

Can the federal government levy taxes that apply to all the states? How does that work anyways? I don't see how the feds could charge for beer made in-state, and sold in-state.

I don't know how to make bread

If I can make a beer that tastes as good as Newcastle, then I'll do it. But somehow I doubt a beer I make will taste very good.
