2400$? Seems enough? Are you supposed to be able to buy 160" tv's every month or what?
I've allways wanted to play "Russ Meyer's Civilization"

The current college age crowd is the most socially liberal this country has ever seen. I think you've gotten a bit excited and started talking out of your a**. The youngsters don't appear to be racist, sexist, or inclined to interfere with each other as any generation in this country. These are the children YOU raised. We didn't drown you at birth; you won't freeze us now either. If there is a revolt, it is your generation they'll overthrow, we are too heavily armed to permit that crap around us.

You don't know what the expression "knocked it out of the park" means, do you? Fake American.

Baby boomers, as a collective, are worse than Hitler.

Hitler's worst crime was starting the world war that eventually spawned the Baby Boomers in its wake.

IIRC Shell actually increased my take home wages AND contributed to the fund as an incentive for joining the scheme!

I was only there for 4 years, but it's been ticking along nicely ever since.

                    • [Q=Zkribbler;5690973]Actually, if you look at the numbers, the U.S. has been running budget deficits pretty constantly since the Great Depression. As a percentage of GDP, the deficit now is lower than the one we had in '45.

Democrats in Congress under Reagan [a Greatest-Generation guy] ran up more debt than all the Presidents in U.S. history up until that time. W, a boomer but a disciple of Reagan, couldn't rein in Congress either, he compromised to keep his war budget. And the last time the budget was balanced was by Republicans with real guts who didn't give in to President Clinton's desires for profligate spending (a boomer).

I'm not saying that the Boomers haven't spent too much. But so have members of the Greatest Generation. And so have members of Generation X and Y.

BTW: Have you been saving the 5-10% of your salary, like I told you to?[/Q] Fixed.

                        • I remember the ditzo Democrats saying, let's give Reagan what he wants. It'll be enough rope for him to hang himself.

Well, he lynched the budget. And he lynched the Democrats. But he himself escape unscathed.

Moral: Never give a cowboy enough rope.
