That's precisely why I don't get banned very much for all the **** I do.

Because the $30K upfront, $225/mo in insurance, $50/mo in gas, and thousands a year in car maintenance isn't enough.
Bring the real Kuci back.
Paying 250 dollar a month for car insurance is sick. My insurance for my old '92 Volvo and home property insurance are together ~100 dollar a month. The gas prices a a wee bit higher than yours though, ~1.5 dollar per liter, which with even a very moderate use equals at least 100 dollar alone, probably more.

Insurance companies here really hammer the young as well as inexperienced drivers.
My insurance is $650 to $800 per year (depending on if I drive a lot or use the vehicle for work).

The 250 a month is a steal for me, thisis the discounted "you're now 25 years old!" rate. I was paying $350/mo a year ago.
In 2004 when I got the car, I was paying $660/mo in car insurance (I was 20). My brother has the same car and was 18, he paid $800/mo.
And the car doesn't matter. 99% of this is liability insurance, and the area we were in (Toronto). Car insurance here is criminally high, especially for young people. And neither of us have been in any accident of any kind, I've had 3 speeding tickets (all over 3 years ago), but this only altered my rate by $10/mo or so. We've also all been licensed and continually insured since we've been of age to do so.

Provinces have the power to regulate the rates. Some provinces run their own auto insurance. I don't know which provinces do which, or anything at all.

are the rates regulated federally or by the province? i know massachusetts tells insurance companies what they can charge.
my wife just go insurance for our new car through state farm. it's less than a hundred a month.
Yes, the province regulates. They've had the rates frozen since 2003 but starting next year they're raising the rates.
The average car insurance is going up 8% next year in Ontario.

If you want to start a thread on the fascinating topic "what I'm paying for my car insurance" go for it.

You can't blame posters for finding topics more fascinating than discussing moderation policies.

Can something be done about Rah's constant lying? He is disrupting important thread topics with his behavior!

2 posters bickering like 6 year olds isn't a banning offence.

It's not bickering! He's outright lying and slandering! He is a disturbance to this entire forum!
