And the common cold is the #1 cause of diarrhea, leading to dehydration.

Do you want us to get sick!!?

Seriously though Guynemer - Did you notice this year's flu strains to be worse than usual? I battle the flu most every year without too much difficulty but this year I was seriously ill. Was it a bad year or was I just unlucky?

Unlucky. The kids I saw this year, anecdotally, seemed far less sick than last year's crop.

Also: common cold, #1 cause of diarrhea? Where exactly are you getting that statistic, Che?

I think, all in all, the flu wasn't as bad this year. At least from the drug and diagnostic companies stand points. Though they could just be using that as an excuse for not meeting earings.

Noted paranoid psychotic Michelle Bachmann, R-MN, spoke out on the hidden truth of the swine flu pandemic today:

I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat president Jimmy Carter. And I’m not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it’s an interesting coincidence.

Of course, what makes it even funnier is that the "break out" she describes took place in 1976, when Ford was in office.

I don't want to hear a word about any kind of flu vaccinations in the future.
They're hit and miss, but on one that we specifically see, the doctor says ignore it.
                      I'm ignoring all of it.

I didn't say ignore. I'm simply imploring people to use common ****ing sense.

I was a watching a program about infant mortality in the developing world. This was many years ago, something on PBS.

Teh common cold causes diarrhea in infants, who then squirt themselves into dehydration and die. Relief agencies could save them with a simple saline solution (or was it sugar solution) to stop the diarrhea. It would cost pennies per dose, but there's no money to buy it.

In Canada, every citizen can go to clinics and doctors and get treatment early on if they even suspect they may be ill with it and not worry about paying a dime. That can go a long way to having a healthier population.
No, it's because Canadians have an immunity to Swine flu.

When you are exposed to it as much as we are it's adapt or die.
