Texas Governor Reaffirms States’ Rights Under 10th Amendment!!!!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
"Hating America is something best left to Mobius. He is an expert Yank hater.
He also hates Texans and Australians, he does diversify." ~ Braindead
Of course, the protesters have something to be angry about. It's just, like you, they are calling it socialism when it is capitalism that is stealing their money.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
1. Life: For all human beings, from conception to natural death;
2. Liberty: Freedom of conscience and actions for the self-governed individual;
3. Family: One husband and one wife with their children as divinely instituted;
4. Property: Each individual's right to own and steward personal property without government burden;
5. Constitution: and Bill of Rights interpreted according to the actual intent of the Founding Fathers;
6. States' Rights: Everything not specifically delegated by the Constitution to the federal government, nor prohibited by the Constitution to the states, is reserved to the states or to the people;
7. American Sovereignty: American government committed to the protection of the borders, trade, and common defense of Americans, and not entangled in foreign alliances.
When Government grows beyond the boundaries set forth in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, it is usurpation and liberty is compromised.
When it comes to her past association with the Alaska Independence Party, it is not fair to suggest that Palin agrees with all of that group's political positions. It is fair to ask with what policies she does or does not agree.
Admittedly, those last three links, you're not likely to believe, but that's all right. You're not really worth talking to directly, and since you can't be arsed to actually look up who they are.
I'd be less skeptical about the "teabaggers" if
a) they knew what teabagging meant and chose some other name
b) they actually had a coherency to their movement other than, "OMG OBAMA == SOCIALIST", particularly when I doubt most of them can enumerate the princples of Socialism
It's us who are calling them tea baggers. They are calling it tea parties.

As noted they believe specifically that God made them male and female and that marriage is designed by God to be the union of a man and a woman.

I already cited, from their website, their guiding principles. None of which are dominionist. Now from what I can see in your sources wikipedia claims they are 'dominionist', but as we all know, wikipedia is not a reliable source.
Anyways, I don't see how you claim I am not interested in looking them up, unless you believe I was so familiar with their guiding principles as to quote from memory, in which case your 'argument' is entirely moot.

Are you stupid or something? I thought it was obvious what che said.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
Just the contrary. We shouldn't be rewarding poor districts with money that won't help them to become better. The correct assumption is that the districts who are perfoming poorly need to look beyond cash to solve their problems.
If rich school districts consistently outperform poor ones, wouldn't that suggest at least a correlation between funding and quality of education?
I believe it's theft.
If you consent to it, it isn't theft. And if you voluntarily pay your taxes rather than refusing to do so and going to jail as a form of civil disobedience, you're consenting.
I've been pissed off about government spending since the Clinton years (though I was less pissed off, because they kinda sorta balanced the budget [if you didn't look too hard at it]). But now, in a nasty recession, they're gonna flip out over unemployment benifits and the like?
Arrian, I suppose part of it is that in the backs of our minds, we figured we could always cover the cost eventually. That is patently untrue now, and people are in shock.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.
“About seventy women and forty men” visited the Senate President and Speaker of the House’s new taxpayer-funded “luxury lavatory” at the State House to relieve themselves all at once today, sources tell NowHampshire.com.
About 500 people showed up for the Concord “Taxpayer Tea Party.”
After protesting the federal government’s spending policies in Concord during the noon hour many of the taxpayers needed to relieve themselves. So Republican state Rep. Fran Wendelboe invited anyone who had to go to the third floor bathroom, which cost the state $72,000 and is seen by many in New Hampshire as an unnecessary extravagance in the middle of an economic recession.
bathroom-after2Sources on the ground tell NowHampshire.com three state troopers were called up to monitor the taxpayers even though they were well behaved. It’s unclear whether the troopers were called in at the behest of Speaker Terie Norelli or Senate President Sylvia Larson, both of whom are Democrats.
The fancy bathroom has become the source of controversy for leadership in both houses of the state legislature. Senate leadership says the new bathroom was necessary because of urine stains on the floor.
The bathroom has also become a national story. It was featured on the Fox News Channel last weekend.

If you don't scream, it isn't rape.

If you don't want to pay taxes, move someplace without a government. I hear Somalia's a libertarian paradise.

Maybe that's true. Or, alternatively, maybe it's typical "my team!" political thought.
I consider all this to be some noise drummed up by the usual suspects (a bunch of folks who are just FINE with unlimited spending, so long it's on stuff they like). Maybe I'm wrong, but that's sure the way it looks to me.
I'm a heckuva lot more impressed by a group like, say, the Concord Coalition. They've been going on about the issue for a long time now and they tend to use reason in their analysis. When they talk about the numbers, they mention cuts to all portions of the budget (including the military). That gets my attention & respect.
