If you can think of any good commanders. Urban warfare is such a meatgrinder, I can't think of any good commanders. Winning is accomplished by losing less badly than the other side.
The seniormost commander I can think of right now is, sadly, Xie Jinyuan. There was also a Soviet officer who wrote a CQB manual during the battle of Stalingrad, but his name eludes me.

I know Krushchev was a big-wig in that battle. I don't know whether he's the guy you're thinking of.
He was a commissar. That doesn't count. No, that was an obscure name. One of our teachers in the bootcamp was a borderline bats officer. He went on tours of duty to Chechnya not because he wanted extra pay or was bound by a sense of duty, but because he liked fighting. He was a war nerd AND a real ocmbat officer. It was he who told us about this guy who devised most of the tactical tricks and rules we first used against the Germans n Stalingrad. All I have left is a diagram that shows how to storm a low-storeyed building.

Russian success in Stalingrad had far more to do with the field actions around the city, all the urban warfare was mostly centered around holding the initial assault and then reducing the trapped forces.
"The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.
Close Proximity Ground Support: Norman Schwarzkopf, Jr.
Airforce Command: Sholto Douglas
Siege/Artillery: Arthur Currie
Don't believe me? Arthur Currie broke some of the worse ground in the First World War through innovative use of the rolling Barrage. Seems odd to use a Canadian commander, but while Napoleon was amazing with Artillery, I think Currie is even better.

...and focusing the Nazis on the city. I agree with Patty. The Russian counterattack pincer movement was brilliant!
Siege/Artillery
Hard to find one. Artillery has always been a supporting branch of the military. Only Mehmet II comes to mind.
May I add Urban Warfare as a separate category?
Close Proximity Ground Support
WTF is that? would be something like an expeditionary unit with A-10's, Attack Helo's,Forward Observers, Harriers, such as a Marine unit MEU (Marine Expeditionary Unit)

Russian success in Stalingrad had far more to do with Hitler being a dick than anything else...

Hitler's stupidity was a big factor in this battle, as it was in so many.
But the Russians also managed to bring up armies of excellent new tanks on both flanks without being detected. Hitler stuck the Nazi neck out, and the Russians brilliantly cut the Nazi's throat.
