Given asher's response (not outright denying that he had ever said this) and given the fact that what you proposed is basically (insofar as I understand the tech) impossible (and not in keeping with Asher's personality) I'm pretty sure this is what happened.

based on my sense of my own memory, Id say its a 5% chance that happened at most. However a better sense than mine of what is possible in coding terms would effect the Bayesian prior and could revise that probability.

OTOH, how would evidence that Asher has read my PM's which were not forwarded to him factor into that Bayesian prior? Is it easier to do that than to "hack" into VB?
