Mr. Palin is referred to as the "First Dude" in Alaska, that's something you can get away with in a state like Alaska but it's not cultured enough for the refined aristocratic Washington Media and would only be used in some kind of insane Bizzaro world much like the one that would be necessary for Ms. Palin to become President.

P.S. If Hilary had won I think people would continue to call Bill Clinton 'Mr. President' as all former presidents are called.
