  • Who is Ovid?

Settle a challenge by proving to me that not all polytubbies are ignorant. Google and wikipedia are of course ruled out.

It's OvidIUS. Learn some Latin. You are so ignorant.

"Transformations" is not the title I usually hear it by. Funny how you speak highly of teaching the ancient tongues, but don't seem to have the courage to refer to the works by their native titles.

I thought you were saying Latin was a dead language.

It is. A dead language refers to languages that are no longer spoken as a primary, main language. Contrast this with an extinct language, which no longer has any speakers.

What I said was quite true. And, since it seems like you were too far up your ass to understand the nuances in what I said, I also said that Latin had its purpose, but in limited fields, and I did not think that it had as much relevance in modern, general education.

I believe you'll have to come up with something harder to find out whether or not polytubbies are ignorant

Not read the thread other than the OP, to answer the question without any knowledge of what has been said. So bear with me: Ovid was, as far as I know, a Roman author. He made a naughty book only grown ups could read, many monasteries had it, but it was a nono to read for most people, as they could get naughty thoughts and see naughty pictures.
