It wasn't even remotely original. It was the same old "Government sucks, kill the government" crap the Republicans have been shoveling for 30 years.
Industry can regulate themselves and we don't need the government to do it. Just like people can regulate themselves and we don't need those laws or the police to stop murderers.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

And it was not Obama who made the mistake of saying United States invented the automobile - the dude who wrote the speech is responsible for that. But I guess Obama should have caught that mistake before he took the stage.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

While the US did not invent the automobile, we are certainly most identified with it.
