So Jindal says that the government can't help because it was useless helping during Hurricane Katrina.

Ok, I've now seen the exact same comment on three different sites--that Jindal sounded like he was talking to a 4 year old. Was there some sort of Move On mailing that went out or something?
I'm not saying you're wrong, I just find it weird that the three places I've seen it mentioned are all the exact same wording, down to the year..."In the beginning was the Word. Then came the ******* word processor." -Dan Simmons, Hyperion

This:
Today in Washington, some are promising that government will rescue us from the economic storms raging all around us.
Those of us who lived through Hurricane Katrina -- we have our doubts.

To be fair, the government didn't really work very well in Katrina's aftermath.
Of course, while some of it can be blamed on Blanco and Nagin, a lot of it can also be blamed on Bush's wrecking of FEMA.
On the other hand, didn't the government work quite well when it came to Gustav?B♭3

All I know is the Mexican govt worked pretty damn well when it came to fixing Cancun after Katrina.
Jindal's speech reminded of a democratic reply after a Bush speech to go to war in Iraq. Daschle did the reply and he and Jindal came across the same way to me, like milquetoast. I never could stand Daschle after I saw that speech (being indifferent before).I'm consitently stupid- Japher
I think that opinion in the United States is decidedly different from the rest of the world because we have a free press -- by free, I mean a virgorously presented right wing point of view on the air and available to all.- Ned
