My experience is that age more than party define who clears their driveway etc.
Just about a third of roads, sidewalks and driveways were cleared in my district. And that was public roads, and sidewalks and driveways mostly among the elders
And my district is in 2840 Holte, in the richest part, where I presume over 3/4's vote Liberal party or conservative. I gather more this have to do with knowledge of the law and if one drive a 4 wheel car.

Yes, people usually do get wiser with age.

Knowledge of the law.. I'd say indifference toward others and a lack of common courtesy are the key deciding factors. Amusingly, you'll most often hear Liberals (Lefties) claiming that's exactly the points where they rise above the rest of us.

I'm in 2720 Vanløse. I think Danish mailmen should post here more often. 4 posts in 7 years! I mean, you might as well be dead!

In Denmark, everyone works for the government more than anyone else.

Mailemen aren't supposed to read the mail they deliver.

Correct. The above was a comment on our level of taxation.

I guess so. I don't receive much mail, but if the mailman had opened the last two packages that arrived at my house, he or she would have noticed an unhealthy interest in modern bluegrass.

Where I lived in Montreal, we just had the government do it for us.

Just so we're clear, I'm not talking about opening people's mail, Heaven forbid. I'm talking about gaining perceived insight into the type of person that a(ny) recipient would be, from the long-term, casual study of their mail by its external appearance. The exact details of which are, and for ever will be, subject to the relevant terms of carriers' discretion, of course.

There, that ought to do it.

Is there something missing in the above sentence? I can't wrap my head around it.

If I had a mailman like Winston, I'd be certain not to shovel my walk as well.

Frankly, I make a concerted effort never to receive mail. The mail system is one of the biggest wastes of government money around, which Winston would know if he were a true conservative.
