In my days as a journalist, I learned that the term for that practice (at least among teenagers) is "scarfing".
In New Zealand, "to scarf" means to eat quickly.
Also in New Zealand "to spew" means to vomit. That was a problem for a friend who went to university in Queensland Australia and described a night out as one that ended with him "going home and spewing* all night".
