You were smart to take the job in the T-dot. Calgary's no place to be.
I took a pay cut to take the job in the T-dot. Oil & gas, even now, pays insanely well.

You know as well as I do that the President is always in the pocket of other people.

Lies, I invited you into my pocket but you lost interest (and wood) and refused.

But whose? The protector-lined pockets of computer technicians? Biochemists? Quantum fizzicists? Nope, just big corporations and interest groups, i.e. MBA's and lawyers. So we have MBA's and lawyers running governments as puppets for other MBA's and lawyers. Either way, science degree = epic fail.

Lawyers have clients. They are always somebody's *****, by definition.

MBAs don't do anything but run companies into the ground.

It should be becoming increasingly obvious that computer scientists are increasingly controlling the world. The more we automate, the more decisions go into the hands of computer scientists developing those systems.

95% of lawyers are about 20 years removed of being replaced by AIs, which will unsurprisingly still have more personality than their human compadres.

Computer scientists aren't devious enough to program these systems in a way to make them the real power brokers.

Following your "running things, even into the ground, indicates power": one of the main causes of the economic crisis was bad math on the part of the quant community.

That's not going to happen until the judiciary is replaced by an AI. As long as you have a human hand on the gavel, you'll need a human hand writing the briefs.

Are you suggesting that hasn't already happened?
