  • Do you want kids?

As many may have seen, I've been showing interest in having kids lately. Not sure why this sudden turn of life philosophy. Sometimes I think having kids (yourself) is a bit selfish, better to adopt. But having your own will always be the better option. Because people tend to think of themselves as pretty good people, and they are likely to produce pretty good kids. But when you get someone else's kid, you're not sure what kind of problems you're getting. then again, the kid could turn out to be better than anything you could produce. . Anyways I'm rambling here.

So without further ado, the poll. The poll makes no distinction on your status whether you like chicks or guys, or simply can't have kids. Just state your desires.

I would like to have as many as I can support and my wife is willing to have.

I always theoretically wanted kids, but I recognized it more recently that that was something that was important for a life goal.

I don't know why he saved my life. Maybe in those last moments he loved life more than he ever had before. Not just his life - anybody's life, my life. All he'd wanted were the same answers the rest of us want. Where did I come from? Where am I going? How long have I got? All I could do was sit there and watch him die.

I have one. She's 21. I love being a dad. But I'm 55 now, and definitely done with that phase of my life.

Can't wait til I'm done paying tuition! One more year...

I'm indifferent. Maybe when I'm in my 30s.

In my thirties proved an optimal time. Not that it was planned that way.

                        Interesting.

I would have expected a different result. :hmm:

BK puzzled with his poor judgement of the doomed.

I have two boys, aged 6 and 2 1/2, which is enough for the moment. OTOH, I'm only 29, and I can imagine that a third child may sound like a good idea by 2015 or something. Or maybe not, depends, we'll see.

I voted "not sure," although I'm leaning more toward "yes" as, frankly, I get older.

Most people do go more towards yes as they get older. Biology still works a bit, no matter how hard we fight it.
