Sliders used to be great when I was 14.

And yeah, when the stories began crashing they brought Kari Wurher Man, I remember some videos I had of her

        QFT

That was a really good one, too. The whole reenactment of the Zapruder film was brilliant.

And of course the fake headline outing J Edgar Hoover as a transvestite

No one (including me earlier) has mentioned Quantum Leap, which was pretty good too.

            Q-ball did an excellent job.
It really is amazing how you literally have the wrong opinion on every subject.

              ^ This.

I remember watching all the episodes that were featured in the title montage by the time I was 13, despite living in a girls' boarding school where we teeeeechnically weren't allowed to watch shows that came on as late as that.

Another fun thing that happened was we started taping the episodes on VHS, and the "Leap For Lisa" one had an odd anomaly. (This is the one which starts off with full frontal nudity and then proceeds to military law - two of my favorite subjects.) The episode went normally but then about 15 mins into it, somebody taped over it with a brief black-and-white three-minute softcore lesbian love scene between a blonde and a brunette. The blonde was top.

We taped the Quantum Leap episode when I was a stig (lowest year, age 13). We didn't discover the overtaping until I was a prefect (highest year, age 18). I remember sitting down with a handful of other nonplussed prefects and watching it and thinking "Okay, so somebody in the house is a lesbian. Somebody has been holding out..."

I was going to mention this. I loved in when it was on, haven't seen it recently to see if it is still good.

Quantum Leap was excellent. Shame about the ending, though.

My one complaint about the show: It had another main character who was the most awesomest at everything. He was a quantum nuclear astro theoretical applied mega physicist scientist guy, plus an actual medical doctor, plus he played the piano, plus he knew karate and could kick ass.
