Call To Power 2 Cradle 3+ mod in progress: https://apolyton.net/forum/other-games/call-to-power-2/ctp2-creation/9437883-making-cradle-3-fully-compatible-with-the-apolyton-edition
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891
What, calling BS on Nigerian yellowcake didn't undermine the Bush Administration? Or do you just mean Plame and Wilson weren't in cahoots?
Plame and Wilson weren't in cahoots.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
I don't think it was so dark and painful, at least as far as the interrogations go. I think he's misreading the public's mood on harsh interrogations of terrorists.

Plame and Wilson were totally in "cahoots". I don't know what else you would call it when a wife gets her husband assigned to a sensitive assignment.
The purpose of "getting him the job" (known in reality as mentioning he was an expert in the field) was not to undermine the President, but to ascertain the veracity of the, as then secret, claims that Iraq was attempting to purchase yellowcake in Niger. Had it been true, you'd be calling Wilson and Plame heroes for uncovering the plot.

It's hard to imagine Joe Wilson as a hero; he's a liar and shameless self-promoter. His wife should've known better than to suggest sending him to Niger and then allowing him to write false op-eds in the NYT.

Your right-wing retreads are tiresome. How about some actual facts?

1. Plame suggested that her husband be sent to Niger by the CIA to investigate the claims that Iraq had or was trying to purchase yellowcake uranium from that country.
After being consulted by her superiors at the CIA about whom to send on the mission, Valerie E. Wilson, according to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, suggested that she ask Ambassador Wilson, her husband, whom she had married in 1998, whether or not he might be interested in making such a trip.
2. Wilson wrote several factually incorrect and misleading articles about his trip to Niger in the NYT in the months after the Iraq War began.
The Iraq Intelligence Commission and the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence at various times concluded that Wilson's claims were incorrect. The Senate report stated that Wilson's report actually bolstered, rather than debunked, intelligence about purported uranium sales to Iraq.[6][7] Wilson later took strong exception to these conclusions in his 2004 memoir The Politics of Truth. The State Department also remained highly skeptical about the Niger claim.
3. It was only after Wilson wrote the first of these op-eds that journalists began investigating the specifics of his trip and word slipped out (through Armitage first, but then others) about Plame and her involvement.
I feel somewhat bad for Plame, as having your cover blown is a very serious matter and it was ultimately her husband's fault that it happened, but she really should've known better than to pull strings to get her husband an assignment and then allow him to make false claims about that assignment and the administration's case for war in the NYT. Either she's dumb (unlikely), has no control over her husband (possible) or she was supportive of his clumsy attempts to pushback against the Bush administration's case for war.

Not the fault of those people who leaked her name?? My, that's a strange analysis.
There's no evidence that Armitage knew her name or the fact that she was covert when he told Woodward and Novak that Joe Wilson's wife worked at the CIA and had been involved in his assignment to Niger.

[Q=Drake Tungsten;5577726]I've already laid out the facts.
1. Plame suggested that her husband be sent to Niger by the CIA to investigate the claims that Iraq had or was trying to purchase yellowcake uranium from that country.[/q]
Getting someone a job suggests something a bit more than merely suggesting a qualified person.
2. Wilson wrote several factually incorrect and misleading articles about his trip to Niger in the NYT in the months after the Iraq War began.
Where is the proof that they were factually incorrect? Was there ever any proof that Iraq sought uranium in Africa? No.
