    Nazi-named children taken from parents

    HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Three New Jersey siblings whose names have Nazi connotations have been placed in the custody of the state, police said Wednesday.

    Holland Township Police Sgt. John Harris said workers from the state Division of Youth and Family Services removed 3-year-old Adolf Hitler Campbell and his younger sisters, JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie Campbell, from their home Tuesday.

    Harris said family services did not tell police the reason the children were removed. Agency spokeswoman Kate Bernyk said it does not comment on specific cases.

    The children and their parents, Heath and Deborah Campbell, received attention last month when a supermarket bakery refused to put Adolf Hitler Campbell's name on a birthday cake.

    If they did nothing other than name the kids stupid names, then I think this might get further attention...

    Anyway, this article is from the 14th. Anybody know anymore on this?

          If it's just about the names, it's a bull**** reason. Just have their names changed to something reasonable and let it go...

              He lives in Quebec. He's used to English signs getting reworded to French.

              This is why any french-canadian born outside of Quebec should anglicise their name immediately.

                I know that in the English liberal tradition, names are considered to be an 'individual' right. The French civil/republican tradition consider names to be a governmental prerogative. To a certain extent, I agree. Naming your child 'Adolf Hitler' borders on cruelty and criminal negligence.

                Such a thing couldn't happen in Quebec for instance - names are reviewed by a bureaucrat before they're approved.

                    It's also interesting to see that DD has no problems with the State taking children away, but has issues with simply renaming them.

                            Come on... considering what they named their kids, it is inconceivable that they did something else wrong that endangered their kids' upbringing?
