Comcast here in the Chi-burbs keeps running spots saying, 'if you have cable, just don't worry.' Which is true. The FCC's 2/17 DTV conversion mandate -- the one being squabbled over in Congress -- applies only to broadcast outlets. This should not affect the cable companies (or, for that matter satellite providers) at all, other than their capturing of signals.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011

The Dems have decided to delay the mandatory transition from Feb 17 to June 12th. It passed the Senate last week, passed the House yesterday, and Obama previously indicated he would sign the bill.
