His name is Gandalf, not Gandorf. Unless you're referring to the villain from Legend of Zelda, and even then you're missing a couple of letters.

Meh - I'm actually thinking he's just overplaying it to troll maybe, and not actually being serious with his belligerence.

But if he is being seriously this upset, then he really should get laid.

The extended version of the movie were able to add a lot of material. (especially at the gates of Mordor.)

And I was able to take an English lit course which was just the hobbit and lord of the rings. Easiest A I ever had.

The happy happy was too much for me as well.

It should have been left dark. And hopefully with a situation that seems impossible. That would have kicked butts

How many of the Nazgul did Gandalf "waste"?
Considering he single handedly killed a Balrog, an evil incredibly more anciet and powerful than any Nazgul, it is quite clear Gandalf could dispatch one at will (and does in fact chase them away in the plot).

Actually, Gandalf's constant refusal to actually use his hinted to powers is very frustrating.

For that matter, what price could they pay that would interest a giant eagle?
Being intelligent creatures in their own right, they must value something. Hell, how about 100 cattle every day free of charge?

It was not all happiness. Bilbo, Gandorf, and Frodo had to bid their farewell to the people whom they love.

Sam, Pippin and Merry seemed very upset though, when they were leaving - especially when Frodo stepped forward to depart.

You guys are missing something. Frodo and Gandalf left with Elrond (Arwen's father).

Aragorn was given a long life (he was already over 100 years old at the time of the books, and he was given over 100 years more), and by that time there were no more boats going.

I think it is possible the last boat to leave was the one that Legolas and Gimli got on or the one that Sam got on. This happened before Aragorn died, and Arwen wasn't interested in leaving him anyways (including in death).

So she went and died after spending a time in Lotherian (sp?) after his death. I am sure if there were any more boats leaving that she could have taken one if she so chose. However, I don't think she would chose to anyways, the romance of Arwen and Aragorn was suppose to be similar to the romance of Beren and Luthien early in the age of the world (Beren was Elrond's grandfather, and Aragorn's very many greats grandfather). Luthien also decided to die with Beren, and they actually both came back to live a bit after their death.

By the way, Luthien's mother was a Maiar (which is what Gandalf, Sauron, Saruman, and the Balrog all were) which in Tolkien's world is an angel.

Also, death is not suppose to be a sad/bad thing. It is suppose to be the gift of Illuvator to the humans (the elves who die go to the halls of Mandros). It is strongly suggested that Illuvator will include the humans with the Maiar in the great song after the end of the world, while about elves nothing is said. It is just the humans who try and extend their lives and who view death so negatively who make death such a bad thing.

And I am pretty sure that hobbits are with humans.

It is true that going to the West is a pretty nice place to be... but the point of it is to rest from the mortal world. The reason why Frodo, Bilbo (and Sam) all went is that they carried the ring which 'stressed' their mortal souls.

The smart thing to do would have been to fly straight from the council to Mordor. Considering Gwahir the eagle flew from Isengard to Rivendell I think he could've gone from Rivendell to Mt Doom in 1 or 2 flights at most. And since the Nazgul most likely were still recovering from being washed away (not yet reached their wyverns) and "Sauron cannot yet take form" even if Sauron did see them coming and comprehended their purpose the most he could've done would be to say "oh ****" and die.

Tolkien should have left the eagles out...

Regarding the behaviour of the ring itself, it is aimed at self preservation. Nobody is able to destroy the ring because they are obsessed by it.
