But with the health craze and people using ground turkey as a substitute for ground beef, It's not that hard to imagine.

This Thanksgiving, I shared a vegan meal with friends of mine. But then on Friday, I visited other friends and had the classic meal: turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, veggies, pumpkin pie, etc.

Decades ago, I cooked my first Thanksgiving meal for my brother and I. I didn't have the courage to try a turkey, so we had a baked ham.

I eat turkey, but I'm not a big fan. For me, Thanksgiving is more about friends and family.

Uncommon to roast a whole bird other than T-day, but meat is common on sandwiches (deli meat).

I heard stats similar to Rah's on NPR ( and you knoe THAT must be true). We have roast pork loin on Thanksgiving and Christmas. However, we do eat turkey on sandwiches throughout the year, though we prefer ham and roast beef most of the time.
